As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our dynamic team.

👤 The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including:

Drafting wills and powers of attorney

Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning

Administering estates and trusts

Handling Court of Protection applications

Supporting high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and discretion

You’ll work closely with colleagues across departments, contribute to business development, and uphold the highest standards of compliance and client care.

🎯 About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

A qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE in private client law

Technically proficient in wills, probate, trusts, and tax planning

A confident communicator with a client-first mindset

Experienced in managing complex estates and high-value matters

Committed to professional development and collaborative working

STEP-qualified or working towards STEP accreditation is highly desirable.

Job Title: Part Time Experienced Legal Secretary

Location: Rich & Carr Solicitors, 22 The Parade, Oadby, LE2 5BF

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to our Wills & Probate team.
  • Manage and organize legal documents and correspondence.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Maintain and update client files and databases.
  • Handle telephone calls and client inquiries professionally.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.
  • Audio typing
  • Experience using Computer Case Management Systems

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in a law firm.
  • Excellent knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
