On 22.11.2017, the Chancellor announced radical changes to Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) and temporary reduced rates will apply for residential properties purchased from 8th July 2020 until 31st March 2021 inclusive. So the SDLT actually payable may vary from the figure quoted above. The Land Registry fee may be slightly higher if the property you are buying is unregistered.

Please note the fees quoted are for a routine straightforward transaction where there are no title defects.

The fees quoted on a sale includes the work undertaken to settle estate agents' fees and redeem one mortgage account (i.e. to receive the money from your buyers, paying off your mortgage from the sale proceeds, paying the estate agents' fee on your behalf and forwarding the balance to you).

Bank transfer fee is £18 (inclusive of VAT) for a faster payment, per transfer.

Any further works and any particular complications may give rise to further charges for example if part of the property (i.e. a garage) is leasehold - we would discuss this fully with you once discovered.
